#Fail

As you can see I have failed on my 24 hours of no electronics. First I haven’t been sleeping well for the past week and a half, so I was up all night last night hoping to sleep some today and then get on with the things I had planned. Well it sort of worked. I slept the whole day. Of course I was up for a few minutes, tossed and turned, went to the bathroom and everything but couldn’t stay awake for more than five minutes, so nothing got done. After I woke up for good, I’ve just been too “blah” to want to do anything. It’s like my body is awake but my mind is half asleep. Even as I’m typing this, my mind is urging my body to sleep, but if I were to lay down I would be wide awake.

Second, I have sleep apnea meaning I stop breathing in the night and my body wakes up to start breathing again. As a result of not breathing, my body doesn’t go into a deep enough sleep all the time to be considered restful. I could sleep 12 hours a night and not get the same amount of rest a normal person would get in 8 hours. That on top of the inability to sleep, does not make for good writing. I can’t concentrate on anything for too long. It is weird, I am extremely tired but my mind feels like it is on speed, bouncing from one thing to the next.
