#BookReview: Endgame by C.J. Daugherty (last in Night School Series) 4/5 Stars

Overview: Carter West, Allie’s true love, has been kidnapped and her grandmother shot by the evil Nathanial. With no clue as to where Carter has been taken, Allie regroups at the school with her friends and teaching staff. During this time, the search is on for him and funeral preparations for Lucinda have begun. Under her demand, Allie has regular school resume to keep the students and herself from going nuts. She is also trying to steer clear of Sylvain, her jilted boyfriend. Carter’s situation and loss of her grandmother have left her feeling numb, until the funeral where she breaks down and bonds closer to Isabelle, basically her stepaunt and the headmistress of the school. While on patrol, Allie’s brother shows up to help find Carter and get back in her good graces. Dom, American technology whiz, finds Carter’s location at an old farmhouse and they create a plan for rescue, involving turning of Nathaniel’s own guards. By a close call, everyone makes it home safely and move on to the next task, saving the school from Nathanial. Coming up with a wild idea, Allie and Isabel present their deal and force him into it. Bringing the fight, and series to a close.

Opinion: Though she didn’t quite end up with whom I thought she should, it was a good ending. It seems to wrapup everything, but the ties are a bit loose. There could be more to the storey as Nathanial has promised to make Allie’s life hell, but oh well. All good series’ must come to an end and this is the best ending we could hope for.

Recommend: Yes!
