A Few Extempore Verses For You


This is a collection of some extempore verses posted on my Facebook account from 2nd to 6th September, 2015 in that order. They might not constitute a complete poem. They are rather fleeting glimpses of myself, as varied and wildly contrasting as thoughts and feelings can be. However there is one thing common, all of these verses have been written while thinking about a poet friend, Bonolata. The poem is dedicated to her.

A flower, with no
distinct charm or smell,
just plain yellow
was left behind
at my window
by the wind and rain last night!

Perhaps it’s a sign,
that I should start my life again!

You must either be a giant here
or a little dwarf perhaps,
as you will either trample others
or be trampled on, because
humble mediocrity is
the most fatal sin in this world!

O did you not hear,
tomorrow came…
