A Savage Place

Poems

Come, my dear friends,
let me take you to a strange place,
not far at all, from you!
Come, take my hand
and be ready with joy to glow,
for it’s nothing less than
the dwelling space of God,
where the celestial beings
annihilate themselves in pure love
with taking of each breath!

But unless you are there,
to nourish the place with your thoughts
and emotions, your heart and soul –
the savage beauty is hidden
by a veil, obscured, appearing
like a barren and empty space
to our eyes, outcast and withdrawn;
almost a void, except
a few shards and glimpses
into our own eternity!

Although, once you are there
to give nourishments, you shall see
how enchanting that place can be,
as beautiful as your thoughts and feelings
would let it grow and as divine
as you, the dwelling place of God!
