#BookReview: The Viking’s Temptation by Paisley Stone 1/5 Stars

Overview: Matthew and Angela were best friends growing up. When his father died, he turned to Angela for comfort and decided to get married. Years later their marriage fell into a rut, and the villiage was attacked by vikings. Angela is kidnapped by the leader and taken on raids down the coastline. Thinking her husband is dead, and to save her from the other men she gives herself to the leader, just to hear her husband outside the tent minutes later, there to rescue her. End of book.

Opinion: Not romance, but smut. The couple weren’t even really in love, let alone the book be long enough for the guy to romance and woo her. Neither did the Viking that kidnapped her appear to have any interest in her until she threw herself at him to save her own skin. It is only half finished, could take place anywhere in the world with a coastline as no country was specifically mentioned (except for in the title) and the only part of romance was short adolescent type renderings of Angela having sex with either her husband or her captor. Plus the second book the author through in as a freebie (even though I picked this book up as a free one on Amazon) Secret Life was longer than the first.
