Chapter four of Finding Family is up, just thought I’d pop in and ask how ya’ll are liking it? Anyone? Anyone like it? Bueller? Bueller?
Just curious, keep in mind it is the rambling of a crazy person. I will say that chapter five is not ready yet, but I do have a week to work on it. I know what happens next I’m just having some issues getting it to write down just right.
Which brings me to Camp NaNoWriMo July, I don’t think I will participate this month. Mainly because I’m not sure what story to work on and none really have a definite number of words. I’m going to keep writing, just not super focusing on a particular story.
In general life, I’m ok. Um in a few days, possibly take a week, I should figure out a health issue I might have. Personally, I don’t think that it is a big deal, so no worries I’ll be fine either way. At the same time, it is kind of a big deal, but I don’t want to worry too much until I find out how it goes.
So good news, back in December when I made my New Year’s Resolutions, one happened to the the generic stand by of losing weight. Well, I have lost 20-30 pounds. Yes I am still fat, but it is a start.
Now the bad news is, it is quite possible that I am a diabetic. Back in 2009 I had a near death experience that resulted in three surgeries, over 3 months in the hospital and an emergency medical evacuation on a tiny plane, just to have my gall bladder removed. In this time, I also had complications arise with my pancreas. Aside from all of that I am genetically inclined to diabetes on both sides of my family, and it would be just my luck to get it.
One of the signs or symptoms of a diabetic is unexplained weight loss. That is a definitive check on my roster. Increased thirst, well that happens from time to time. There are times where I just do not want to drink anything, then there are days where I can go through gallons and gallons of water and still be thirsty. Dry mouth…I’m not sure if it is due to the way I sleep or possible diabetes but I do tend to have a dry mouth in the mornings. Not really cotton mouth (worst thing ever) but really dry, throat gets stuck dry mouth. Frequent urination, yep. Increased hunger, not so much increased but a steady stream of not really feeling full. Fatigue, haven’t been sleeping well for weeks now and even before that was always tired. Again though, not sure if onset of diabetes or my already present sleep apnea. Blurred vision, have noticed an increase in little floaters in my eyes, and them becoming blurry for no reason. Finally headaches, yea I tend to get a few headaches here and there but does all of this mean I have diabetes?
Considering there are only one or two of the symptoms that I don’t have…probably. My whole life I have been told that I am borderline diabetic and if I don’t do something I will end up with diabetes. Obviously I never changed my ways and here I am 25 years old and with all my other health complications, I now have to worry about diabetes. Well I guess growing up helping my great-grandma manage hers is going to help me in the future.
